Get meaningful, hands on experience and training at a dynamic, public interest law firm. We welcome inquiries from law students, attorneys, and other persons who would like to participate in the work of Empire Justice Center.
Empire Justice is continually seeking legal interns to assist in litigation, public policy and advocacy initiatives. Depending on the project and the office location, interns gain hands on experience working with clients, in the courts and in the legislature. Interns are given meaningful work that not only is challenging, but also rewarding. We also provide valuable work experience for students who are interested in our issues and who are pursuing non legal education and/or work in a related field. If you are interested in an internship with us, please complete and submit the volunteer form below.
Empire Justice also offers a 50 hour project for law graduates seeking to complete their pro bono requirement for admission to the New York State Bar. The project can be done in our office or completed remotely. If you would like more information on the 50 Hour Pro Bono Project, click here.
Volunteers help with ongoing projects and assist with tasks associated with running a public interest law office. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete and submit our Volunteer Interest Form.
