2015’s Statewide Housing Protections for Domestic Violence Victims

Signed in October 2015 and effective January 19, 2016, victims of domestic violence statewide will finally have access to a variety of critical housing discrimination and anti-eviction protections as part of both the Real Property Law and the Real Property Actions and Proceedings Law.  This webinar will explain New York’s new law, as well as discuss its challenging intersection with local nuisance ordinances.  This program is appropriate for civil legal services attorneys handling housing cases, as well as domestic violence cases.
