Tabita Torres currently working with Empire Justice Center’s CASH (Creating, Assets, Saving and Hope) program as an Administrative Assistant for Roc Your Family’s Future (RYFF). Previously, she worked with the YMCA of Greater Rochester within the Philanthropy Department. She also worked as the Marketing Specialist & Program Associate with the Office for Diversity & Inclusion at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Tabita worked as a Relationship Manager, responsible for fundraising more than $750,000 annually, managed the Circulo Latino (CL) Leadership Giving Society and coordinated the Latino Leadership Development Program (LLDP) at the United Way of Greater Rochester.
Tabita has experience in developing office collateral, engaging workshops, dynamic presentations with technical and creativity training in public speaking for small/large group settings. Tabita proudly graduated from the United Way’s LLDP in 2007. She is always curious on how she can contribute her skills and experiences to build more inclusive and strength’s-based environments. Tabita is highly engaged with internal employee resources and coaching. She actively seeks development and training opportunities to enhance her learning.
Tabita is committed to making her community a better place to live for everyone and believes “education is life changing.” Tabita graduated from St. John Fisher College with a double bachelor’s degree in Communication/Journalism and Spanish. She enjoys spending time with her son, Emmanuel, family, and friends.
