Lacie White

Lacie White has devoted her life to educating and advocating for underserved and underrepresented populations. Lacie utilizes her experiences while serving as the CASH Marketing Manager and RYFF Program Specialist. Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope (CASH)- is a community coalition led by Empire Justice Center and the United Way of Greater Rochester that empowers people with the greatest need to obtain financial security. Under the CASH umbrella, the Roc Your Family’s Future (RYFF) project’s goal is to encourage eligible families to claim the EITC and increase protective factors associated with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). In her role she works to further CASH’s public awareness efforts, specifically disseminating information about the wealth of resources and services that CASH provides to low-income families. In addition, she works closely with community partners and their clients under the Roc Your Family’s Future project.

Lacie, a Rochester, NY native, comes to Empire Justice from the Rochester City School District. There, she worked as an English and Special Education teacher, utilizing different styles of communication to help students identify barriers in learning in order to reach their educational goals. In addition, she engaged in a variety of leadership opportunities including Summer School Administrator, Multicultural Club, Black History Committee chair, and Senior Government Advisor. Her prior experience also includes work in marketing and public relations departments. Lacie holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Education Administration, Master of Science in Adolescent Inclusive Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a concentration in Journalism from The State University of New York at Brockport and Nazareth College.
