Jordan is a Student Debt Counselor on the Education Debt Consumer Assistance Program (EDCAP) team. She provides one-on-one counseling services to student loan borrowers throughout New York State to help them manage their education debt and improve their financial health. Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Policy from SUNY Albany. Prior to joining Empire Justice Center, Jordan worked as a Senior Adjudicator for the New York State Department of Labor’s Unemployment Insurance Division. She acted as the primary contact for the Governor’s Office to distribute priority benefit determinations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. She has a passion for volunteering with various non-profit organizations throughout the Capital Region including Rehabilitation Support Services and U.S Committee for Refugees & Immigrants. Jordan plans to dedicate her professional career to educating and advocating for underrepresented communities. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering and karaoke.
