Amy Bogardus

In February 2021, Amy Molloy Bogardus joined the Empire Justice Center as a Regional Attorney Coordinator with the Crime Victims Legal Network, where she provides technical assistance, legal consultation, and support to attorneys throughout New York who are representing crime victims with their civil legal needs.  Prior to joining Empire Justice, Amy worked at the Fourth Department, Appellate Division for the last 14 years as a Principal Appellate Court Attorney; her responsibilities included researching and writing legal reports recommending the outcome of various civil, family, and criminal appellate matters, and responding to inquiries from the public.  Before joining the Appellate Division, Amy spent 5 ½ years as an assistant district attorney at the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, where she handled appeals, grand jury presentations, hearings and trials in town court, Rochester City court, County court and Supreme Court.  Amy received her B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross, and she graduated cum laude from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University in Washington D.C.  Amy is admitted to practice in States of New York and Massachusetts.
