Elizabeth Woods

Elizabeth Woods joined Empire Justice Center in June of 2025 as a Supervising Senior Attorney in the Public Benefits Unit. Elizabeth was previously a Senior Staff Attorney at Disability Rights New York in the Protection for Individuals with Mental Illness Program, focusing on federal litigation and advocacy. Before joining Disability Rights New York, Elizabeth was a Senior Attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York working in the Re-Entry Project, the Economic Justice Project (focusing on public benefits) and the Homeowner Protection Program. Elizabeth also worked in the public benefits and housing units of Legal Services of the Hudson Valley.
