Cash Assistance, comprising of federally-funded Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and state-funded Safety Net Assistance (SNA), and Emergency Assistance are lifelines for New Yorkers in need. Empire Justice Center provides training and technical assistance to other advocates, and helps individuals through direct representation.
